Zao Wouki, Born in Beijing and grew up in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He studied painting in Hangzhou and later started his art career in Chongqing and Shanghai. Zhao settled in Paris in 1948 and acquired French Nationality in 1964. In his early years he was deeply influenced by masters such as Picasso, Matisse and Klee. Since 1954, his paintings have turned abstract. In 2002, Zhao was elected lifetime member of the French Academy of Fine Arts. Exhibitions?
